Network Engineer

The Network Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the voice and data network systems. R esponsible for the installation and maintenance of network systems, applications, security, and configurations within the physical and virtual network infrastructure. This position uses a thorough knowledge of network processes, concepts, best practices, and network protocols and security., Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following . Other duties may be assigned.

Administers and maintains computer networks and related computing environments.

Coordinates with stakeholders to identify network needs and develop basic network solutions.

Troubleshoots and resolves moderate network issues independently.

Performs disaster recovery operations and data backups when required .

Optimizes configurations to improve performance and efficiency.

The ability to obtain, maintain and access classified information at the Top Secret level., In-depth knowledge of network protocols and technologies .

Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently.

Proficiency in network hardware and software configuration .

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and four to eight (4-8) years related experience
