Job description
At the New Jersey Samsung Service Center, we’re seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and calm individual to join our team as a Parts Technician.
This position is responsible for managing parts inventory and supporting daily service center operations. The Parts Technician will handle a wide variety of small and delicate components for smartphones, tablets, computers, smartwatches, and other electronic devices.
The ideal candidate is someone who is patient, careful, and comfortable working with small parts and electronic components. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential, as proper handling and tracking of each part directly supports our repair operations.
Duties
- Receive, inspect, identify, and organize incoming parts and materials
- Carefully handle and store small and delicate electronic components
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts
- Prepare and package outgoing parts, devices, and materials for shipment
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management when replenishment is needed
- Coordinate with technicians and customer service staff to ensure parts are available when needed
- Process material transfers, returns, and RMA shipments
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and shipment information for accuracy
- Properly use inventory management systems to track parts movement
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts storage area
- Assist with weekly inventory reports and documentation
- Support daily operational needs as assigned by the manager
Requirements
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and email
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Patient and careful when handling small or delicate parts
- Able to remain calm and focused when handling multiple tasks or resolving inventory issues
- Comfortable working with small electronic components and accessories
- Ability to lift and move packages when necessary
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in inventory, warehouse, electronics, or repair operations is a plus, but not required
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is careful rather than rushed, detail-oriented rather than careless, and calm under pressure. Because many of the parts we handle are small and delicate, the ability to handle components gently, verify information carefully, and maintain an organized workspace is very important.
