Job description
- Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements within Information Security Engineering.
- Review and analyze basic or tactical Information Security Engineering assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives, related to low-to-medium risk deliverables.
- Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations and exercise some independent judgment while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Provide information to client personnel in Information Security Engineering.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
- Secure configuration/hardening fundamentals (Windows/Linux) and basic networking literacy
- Vulnerability management: validate, prioritize, coordinate remediation, document exceptions
- IAM fundamentals: least privilege, MFA concepts, account lifecycle basics
- Logging/monitoring fundamentals: common log sources, basic SIEM concepts, alert triage support
- Strong documentation, ticket discipline, and ability to present low-to-moderate complexity recommendations
- Collaboration and customer communication with IT partners; process improvement mindset
- 2+ years of information security engineering (or equivalent experience: consulting, training, military, education)
- Project Management

- Experience and comfort writing baseline configurations for an enterprise. Capable of at least 10 per month.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Finance or large enterprise experience is nice to have.
- Python scripting
- Scripting (PowerShell/Python) for automation/reporting
- Cloud security fundamentals (AWS/Azure/GCP) and/or virtualization basics
- Familiarity with security tools (EDR, SIEM, vuln scanners)
- Working literacy of common frameworks/controls (e.g., CIS Controls, NIST-style controls)
