This individual will serve as a trusted technical advisor for clients, driving architecture decisions, troubleshooting complex infrastructure challenges, and delivering scalable OpenShift solutions across bare metal and hybrid cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with OpenShift core infrastructure components, including DNS, NTP, networking, and storage, as well as hands-on expertise deploying and managing OpenShift on bare metal using technologies such as Redfish and Virtual Media. Experience leveraging Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Console, Agent-Based Installer, and Assisted Installer methodologies is required., The Senior Consultant will be responsible for implementing modern automation and platform engineering practices through GitOps and Helm, while supporting containerized and virtualized workloads using OpenShift Virtualization, including Migration Toolkit for Virtualization (MTV). Strong knowledge of OpenShift Virtualization networking is essential, including OVS bridges, Linux bridges, VLAN configuration and management, and integration with enterprise networking environments. The consultant must also possess solid experience with storage and storage networking technologies, including iSCSI and persistent storage architectures supporting mission-critical applications.

This role requires advanced knowledge of OpenShift authentication and authorization frameworks, including RBAC design and administration, identity provider integrations, and federated authentication solutions such as Okta. The consultant will be expected to manage and maintain OpenShift Operators, implement platform observability capabilities including logging, metrics, monitoring, and alerting, and oversee OpenShift lifecycle management activities such as cluster updates, upgrades, patching, and platform optimization. Additionally, the individual will support the full lifecycle of both virtual machine and container-based workloads, ensuring platform reliability, security, and operational excellence.

Success in this role requires exceptional networking expertise and a deep understanding of OpenShift networking architecture, including ingress, egress, service networking, port requirements, network security, traffic flow, and connectivity troubleshooting across complex enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong consulting and client-facing skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, mentor client teams, produce technical documentation, and lead infrastructure modernization initiatives from planning through production deployment. Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments, supporting mission-critical workloads, and delivering Red Hat OpenShift transformations is highly desired.
