Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will design and implement Epic ODB environments on AWS, ensuring stability, performance, and security. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to align with Epic Cloud specifications and organizational standards, supporting scalable Epic workloads in the cloud. You will monitor, maintain, and improve Epic ODB platforms and contribute to disaster recovery, security, and operational reliability. This is an opportunity to drive cloud-enabled Epic workloads within a large, technology-driven services organization. Compensation / Benefits * Design, build, and implement Epic ODB environments to AWS per Epic and AWS architectures * Administer Epic Cache/IRIS databases including backups, patching, tuning, and HA planning * Monitor ODB performance, identify issues, and enforce SLAs * Perform operational tasks: maintenance, DR testing, availability management, and security controls * Support cutover, smoke testing, and validation during AWS implementation * Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud engineering, Epic app teams, and architects for environment consistency * Maintain documentation, runbooks, and procedures for AWS ODB environments Tasks * Epic ODBA Certification * Minimum 2 years of experience as an Epic ODBA * Minimum 1 year of experience administering Epic Cache/IRIS Operational Databases * Minimum 1 year of Linux experience * Experience with backup, recovery, monitoring, and database security controls * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (12 years) work experience Key requirements * medical * dental * vision * life * 401(k) plan * bonus opportunities
