Job description

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Data Scientist in Altamonte Springs, FL.

Duties Include:

  • Responsible for communicating complex data or algorithms into simple conclusions that empower business improvement actions across the healthcare continuum based on derived insights
  • Identifies and quantifies market opportunities, forecasts market behavior, and analyzes ways to maximize the use of current physical assets
  • Drives insights into actions that improve decision-making and business results
  • Participates in maintaining respectful relationships and outstanding customer service
  • Contributes to the overall success of the organization through effective communication and data analysis
  • Provides regular reports and presentations on market trends and utilization forecasts
  • Drives insights into actions that improve decision-making and business results
  • Maintains respectful relationships and outstanding customer service
  • Uses statistical methods to predict market behavior and utilization rates
  • Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of forecasting models and adjusts as needed
  • Communicates complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven insights into business strategies
  • Identifies and quantifies market opportunities based on data analysis
  • Analyzes historical performance data to identify trends and patterns
  • Develops models to forecast future market trends and utilization behavior
  • Applies learnings from past performance to improve forecasting accuracy
  • Designs data architecture to work within the needs of the project and tools available
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Master’s degree required
  • 7+ years of experience in a quantitative or computing field such as Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Predictive Analytics, or related field
  • Experience working with large datasets and in an enterprise level environment
  • Healthcare experience is a plus
  • Expertise in statistical modeling and predictive analytics techniques, such as regression analysis and decision trees
  • Ability to use advanced statistical modeling techniques to convert data into actionable market insights
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to think and act strategically
  • Superb communication skills explaining complex quantitative models to Business Development, Marketing, and Senior Executives
  • Achieve defined project goals within customer deadlines; Proactively communicate status and escalate issues as needed
  • Strong programming skills for pulling data, quantifying, and visualizing results
  • Comfortable using varied platforms and applications such as SQL and Snowflake
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and Access) and statistical packages, such as R and Python
  • Quality-focused with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in Python
  • Experience Developing Machine Learning Models
  • Experience in Power BI
  • Ability and willingness to stay informed about emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, and their relevance to the role
  • Claims Data experience preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
