The Integration Specialist III is self-sufficient in at least one area and can perform medium-sized jobs with minimal guidance and re-work. This position works with limited supervision to execute and manage multiple assignments, troubleshoot advanced technical issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Work Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Information Technology preferred.
- At least Four (4) years of experience in building automation systems, HVAC, electrical, or related technical fields, preferred.
- Advanced understanding of construction or HVAC industry, protective systems, audio-visual, control theory and automatic temperature controls.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, specifications and submittal information required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the integration of low-voltage building sub-systems using protocols such as BACnet, LON, SLC, TCP/IP, RS-485, and other relevant industry standards.
- Advanced ability to configure, commission, and test network controllers, system devices, and hardware.
- Strong knowledge of root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and corrective action methodologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and handheld devices such as smartphones and tablets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, coworkers, and project stakeholders.
- Creative problem-solver with a positive attitude strong customer service skills.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a changing environment.
