Job description

  • Perform LiDAR data processing workflows from raw point cloud to final deliverables, including classification, surface modeling, contour generation, and feature extraction.
  • Contribute to building and developing the CAD analysis group, including mentoring junior staff and defining team best practices.
  • Collaborate with survey and engineering teams to understand project requirements and ensure deliverables meet scope, schedule, and accuracy standards.
  • Develop and refine workflows to improve efficiency, automation, and consistency across projects.
  • Conduct quality control reviews to ensure compliance with client specifications and industry standards.
  • Evaluate and implement new software, tools, and technologies to enhance team capabilities.
  • Provide technical input to managers for scope development and production scheduling.
  • Troubleshoot complex datasets and deliver practical technical solutions.
  • Work is submitted to manager for approval/ stamp.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

Barge Design Solutions is seeking a Senior LiDAR Analyst & Designer with strong technical skills and a passion for producing accurate, high-quality geospatial deliverables. In this role, you’ll work hands-on with LiDAR data processing workflows, refine surface models, contours, and feature extraction. Ensuring all datasets meet project specifications and quality standards. Beyond the technical work, you’ll help improve team workflows, play a key role in building our CAD analysis group, and continuously seek ways to enhance efficiency and quality. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys tackling complex data challenges, and thrives in a collaborative environment where innovation, accountability, and new ideas are valued., * Two year degree in Engineering Technology, Computer Drafting, Surveying or equivalent with 4 years relevant experience, or other relevant combination of education and/ or experience.
