Job description
- Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software components supporting the Q-Flow application.
- Analyze existing application architecture and identify opportunities for performance, reliability, maintainability, and security improvements.
- Develop new application features based on functional and technical requirements.
- Participate in software architecture and design discussions.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable software solutions.
- Develop automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
- Troubleshoot complex application, database, and integration issues.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to other developers.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, business analysts, database administrators, cybersecurity personnel, QA engineers, and project stakeholders.
- Support application deployments, upgrades, configuration management, and production troubleshooting.
- Identify and remediate software vulnerabilities in accordance with organizational security requirements.
- Follow secure software development lifecycle practices and applicable government or organizational security standards.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, including design documentation, interface specifications, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical demonstrations as appropriate.
- Mentor junior and mid-level software engineers.
- Support modernization and migration initiatives as the Q-Flow application evolves.
Requirements
This position requires a strong software engineering background, agile methodology, the ability to work independently on complex technical problems, and a commitment to developing secure, reliable, and maintainable software in a security-conscious environment.
US Citizenship is required and candidates must be able to obtain a DHS EOD security clearance for this position., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- 10 years’ work experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain DHS EOD. Note: DHS EOD Requires U.S. Citizenship
- Proficiency in core languages like Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript
- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience demonstrating strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
