Ignition Perspective HMI Programmer

An Ignition Perspective Programmer to work with our in-house programmers and engineers to develop Web based Perspective HMI screens to replace existing on site HMI screens. Candidate will be provided with images of current screens, all required image files, tag names databases from Allen Bradley PLC, and access to programmers for technical clarifications.

Core Responsibilities

Interface Development: Design and build scalable, modular, and user-friendly HMIs using Ignition Perspective v8.3

Scripting & Integration: Develop custom scripts and integrations using Jython , and sometimes SQL for automation and data processing.

System Integration: Connect HMIs to existing Rockwell Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLC tag databases which will be provided to you by our in-house programmers

MQTT & Real-Time Data: Work with Ignition MQTT modules for data aggregation

Collaboration & Documentation: Work with stakeholders to meet technical requirements, follow best practices, and provide system documentation

Testing & Quality: work with onsite programmers and Engineers to assist with technical and functional unit testing to ensure reliability.

Ignition Perspective: 3+ years of professional experience with Ignition Perspective v8.1 or later.

Programming Languages: Proficiency in Jython, preferably some, SQL.

Cross-Browser Compatibility: Understanding of web-based HMI operational and security best practices.
