You are responsible for managing the lifecycle of price changes, promotional tags, and the backend data that keeps our inventory systems and Point of Sale (POS) running smoothly. You are the ā€œowner of the tag,ā€ ensuring Maryland weights and measures compliance and protecting the store’s margins through meticulous attention to detail., 1. Price Management & Execution

  • Tag Maintenance: Execute weekly price changes, ensuring all outdated tags are removed, and new tags are placed accurately across all departments.
  • Promotional Coordination: Manage the activation and deactivation of temporary price reductions (TPRs) and monthly ā€œSaleā€ signage.
  • Verification: Conduct weekly ā€œPrice Auditsā€ by scanning random items on the floor to ensure the shelf price matches the POS system.
  1. Data Integrity & Inventory Support * Item Authorization: Ensure new items are correctly entered into the system with accurate descriptions, UPCs, and tax categories (e.g., Maryland sales tax vs. tax-exempt grocery and EBT Eligible). * Margin Protection: Identify and report ā€œcost-vs-retailā€ discrepancies to the Store Manager to ensure the store is not losing money due to uncaptured vendor price hikes. * Scan File Maintenance: Work with vendors (like Pepsi, Frito-Lay, etc.) to ensure their specific item files are syncing correctly with our store’s system.

  2. Compliance & Standards * Weights & Measures: Ensure all ā€œPrice per Ounce/Poundā€ labels are accurate and compliant with Maryland state regulations. * Signage Standards: Ensure all signage is professional, clean, and placed according to store branding guidelines. * Error De-escalation: Investigate and resolve recurring ā€œitem not foundā€ or ā€œwrong priceā€ errors reported by the Front-End team.
