The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in hardware/FPGA verification, including lab testing and/or design verification, and a strong understanding of DO-254 processes and certification documentation.

The engineer will also work closely with offshore/remote engineering teams, including the India GETC-I site, providing technical direction and DO-254 process guidance to verification engineers and emerging engineers., Key ResponsibilitiesFPGA & Hardware Verification

  • Develop and execute comprehensive verification strategies for FPGA/hardware designs.
  • Create and maintain verification environments using SystemVerilog and/or UVM.
  • Develop testbenches, test cases, functional coverage, assertions, and constrained-random verification methodologies.
  • Perform FPGA verification through simulation, hardware testing, lab testing, and design verification testing.
  • Analyze failures, troubleshoot hardware/RTL issues, and work with design engineers to resolve defects.

DO-254 Certification

  • Develop and maintain DO-254-compliant verification and certification artifacts.
  • Support requirements capture, requirements decomposition, verification planning, traceability, and compliance activities.
  • Provide technical guidance on DO-254 processes, verification methods, documentation, and certification evidence.
  • Support high-assurance / DAL-A hardware development and certification activities.
  • Participate in certification reviews and, when required, support FAA SOI audits.

FPGA Development & Analysis

  • Work with VHDL, Verilog, and SystemVerilog RTL and associated simulation environments.
  • Support synthesis, placement and routing, timing analysis, and FPGA implementation activities.
  • Perform static timing, lint, and CDC analysis.
  • Support FPGA board bring-up, integration, debugging, and laboratory testing.
  • Collaborate with FPGA designers, systems engineers, hardware engineers, and verification teams throughout the development lifecycle.

Technical Leadership & Offshore Coordination

  • Coordinate with offshore/remote engineering teams, including the India GETC-I site.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior and emerging verification engineers.
  • Establish and communicate verification best practices.
  • Provide guidance on DO-254 processes, required documentation, verification evidence, and compliance expectations.
  • Review technical deliverables and ensure verification activities align with project and certification requirements.

Requirements

  • 8-20 years of relevant FPGA, ASIC, hardware verification, or electrical engineering experience.
  • Expert-level experience in FPGA / hardware verification.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SystemVerilog and/or UVM.
  • Strong experience with FPGA verification through lab testing and/or hardware FPGA design verification testing.
  • Must have hands-on DO-254 experience.
  • Strong understanding of hardware verification methodologies, requirements, traceability, and certification processes.
  • Experience working with aerospace/avionics hardware is highly preferred.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with offshore/remote engineering teams.
  • Ability to provide DO-254 process guidance, documentation guidance, and technical mentorship to verification teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or another relevant STEM discipline., * Experience designing or verifying Xilinx FPGA products.
  • Experience with VHDL, Verilog, and SystemVerilog.
  • Experience developing UVM-based constrained-random verification environments.
  • Experience with static timing analysis, linting, and Clock Domain Crossing (CDC) analysis.
  • Experience with FPGA synthesis, place-and-route, timing closure, and hardware bring-up.
  • Experience with Airborne Electronic Hardware (AEH) development and certification.
  • Experience supporting DAL-A / high-assurance DO-254 programs.
  • Familiarity with FAA certification processes and Stage of Involvement (SOI) audits is a strong plus., Technical Skills MatrixSkillRequirementFPGA / Hardware VerificationRequired - Expert LevelSystemVerilogRequired / Strongly PreferredUVMRequired / Strongly PreferredFPGA Lab TestingRequired - Alternative verification path acceptableHardware FPGA Design VerificationRequired - Alternative verification path acceptableDO-254MandatoryVHDL / VerilogRequired / PreferredXilinx FPGAStrong PlusUVM Constrained RandomPreferredStatic Timing AnalysisPreferredLint / CDC AnalysisPreferredAerospace / AvionicsStrongly PreferredDAL-A / AEH CertificationStrong PlusFAA SOI ExperienceStrong PlusOffshore Team CoordinationRequiredDO-254 Documentation / Process GuidanceRequiredWhat We’re Looking For
