Job description

We’re hiring a skilled Systems Administrator to manage and support a hybrid infrastructure spanning Unix/Linux and Windows environments. You’ll ensure systems are secure, reliable, and high-performing while working closely with internal teams to align IT operations with business goals., Maintain and support Windows servers as well as Linux/Unix in both cloud and on-prem environments * Apply system updates, patches, and configuration changes for performance and compliance * Administer core infrastructure tools (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, NFS, SSH, etc.) * Monitor system health, analyze logs, and troubleshoot complex technical issues * Automate processes using Bash, PowerShell, or Python to boost operational efficiency * Enforce security best practices and assist in vulnerability remediation * Manage access controls and identity systems * Create and test backup and disaster recovery plans * Keep detailed documentation and support junior team members as needed

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in both Unix/Linux and Windows system administration
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) * Solid understanding of server OS (e.g., Windows Server 2016-2022, Red Hat, Ubuntu) * Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (AWS, Azure) * Skilled in scripting and automation (Bash, PowerShell, Python) * Familiarity with container tools like Docker and Kubernetes * Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancing) * Experience with ITIL frameworks and methodologies
