Job description
This position is responsible for building, maintaining, securing, and supporting servers, applications, and infrastructure within 24/7 high-performance, highly secure data centers serving a globally distributed customer base. Reporting to IT Management, this role encompasses a broad range of technologies, including VMware as well as virtual and physical Microsoft Windows and Linux servers., Assist in the deployment, configuration, and management of VMware infrastructure including vSphere vCenter, clusters, hosts, and VCF (Automation and Operations). Install, configure, and update ESXi hypervisor hosts. Advanced skills in VM and Host performance and troubleshooting.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance. Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area. Perform basic Fiber Channel provisioning and troubleshooting primarily for VMware ESXi hosts. Update firmware and drivers on Cisco UCS Equipment and validate hardware compatibility. Cisco Intersight experience is a plus. Help implement infrastructure and hardware system installations. Basic network configuration (create port-channels, vlan adds, etc.) and troubleshooting skills. Recommend, implement, and routinely test disaster recovery plans. Zerto experience is a plus. Regularly update change management systems with strict change documentation. Open vendor support requests to resolve periodic hardware issues. Possess sound knowledge and working experience with ticketing/tracking systems. Respond to outages during business and after-hours. Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills and experience managing complex systems. Communicate effectively with both senior and junior team members regarding issues and troubleshooting.
