Job description
The Principal Data Architect, AI & Supply Chain Platforms will join our team to define and lead the enterprise data strategy supporting AI, analytics, and supply chain platforms for our enterprise clients. This role involves establishing enterprise data models, architectural standards, governance frameworks, and scalable data architectures required to accelerate AI adoption across complex supply chain and logistics environments. You will work closely with executive stakeholders, technology leadership, and business teams to bridge business requirements with technology strategy, accelerate architectural decision-making, and mentor data leadership., * Enterprise Data Strategy: Create and maintain the enterprise data architecture roadmap supporting transportation, logistics, supply chain, and AI initiatives.
- Enterprise Data Modeling: Design and implement scalable enterprise data models that standardize data across operational, transportation, inventory, customer, and AI domains.
- AI-Ready Foundations: Ensure data platforms, pipelines, and structures are optimized for AI, machine learning, agentic AI, computer vision, and advanced analytics workloads.
- Governance & Standards: Define enterprise standards, design patterns, governance practices, metadata management, and architectural principles while partnering with governance teams to improve data quality, lineage, and master data management.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration: Translate business objectives and supply chain requirements into scalable architecture solutions, evaluate current platforms for modernization, and provide executive guidance as a trusted technical advisor.
- Lead the creation and execution of the enterprise data architecture roadmap tailored for complex supply chain, logistics, and AI transformation initiatives.
- Design and implement robust, scalable enterprise data models to unify operational, transportation, inventory, and AI domains.
- Architect AI-ready data foundations, pipelines, and structures optimized for machine learning, agentic AI, and advanced analytical workloads.
- Establish enterprise standards, metadata management, and data governance frameworks to ensure high data quality, lineage, and compliance.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to executive stakeholders while mentoring internal data architects, engineers, and technology leaders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in enterprise data architecture and large-scale data modeling.
- Strong expertise with cloud data platforms and modern data architectures (including data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse environments).
- Proven experience supporting AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of data governance, metadata management, master data management, and data integration strategies.
- Strong preference for hands-on platform experience with Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, and AI/ML ecosystems.
- Excellent leadership, mentoring, and executive communication skills with the ability to bridge complex business requirements and technical execution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry experience in Supply Chain, Fourth-Party Logistics (4PL), Transportation Management, Warehouse Operations, Inventory Optimization, or Manufacturing Distribution Networks.
- Advanced degrees or certifications in Computer Science, Data Architecture, or related technical fields.
