Job description

Our client is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions that support business intelligence, analytics, and operational reporting initiatives. This role will partner closely with data analysts, software developers, and business stakeholders to ensure the organization’s data infrastructure is reliable, secure, and optimized for performance., + Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and integration processes.

  • Build, optimize, and support enterprise data warehouses and data lakes.

  • Develop ETL/ELT workflows to ingest, transform, and load data from various internal and external sources.

  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to define data requirements and deliver reliable reporting solutions.

  • Monitor and improve data quality, consistency, and governance practices.

  • Optimize database performance, query execution, and overall data architecture.

  • Implement data security, privacy, and compliance best practices.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues across multiple systems and platforms.

  • Support business intelligence initiatives and provide clean, accessible datasets for reporting and analytics tools.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and process documentation.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience working with large datasets, modern cloud platforms, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing technologies. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in developing enterprise-wide data solutions that drive business decision-making., + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineering, Database Development, or related role.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database management systems.

  • Experience developing ETL/ELT solutions using modern data integration tools.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

  • Experience working with data warehouses and data lake architectures.

  • Strong understanding of data modeling, normalization, and dimensional modeling concepts.

  • Experience with Python, Scala, or another data-focused programming language.

  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and best practices.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse Analytics, Redshift, or BigQuery.

  • Knowledge of Spark, Kafka, or other distributed data processing technologies.

  • Experience supporting Power BI, Tableau, or other BI platforms.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience working in agile development environments.
