Data Analyst

We are seeking a Data Analyst for an 18-24 month contract to support a large-scale data migration and integration initiative following a recent acquisition. This individual will work closely with a Lead Data Analyst who is responsible for the overall migration strategy and data architecture. The Data Analyst will execute assigned work packages, perform data validation and reconciliation activities, and help ensure data quality throughout the migration process.

This role is ideal for someone with strong SQL and analytical skills who enjoys working with data, identifying discrepancies, and supporting business-critical data conversion efforts.

Responsibilities

• Run data extracts from source systems and databases

• Write and execute moderate SQL queries for data analysis and validation

• Map fields between legacy and target systems

• Perform data migration reconciliation and validation activities

• Investigate rejected, missing, or inaccurate records and document findings

• Create basic reports and dashboards using Power BI or Tableau

• Maintain issue logs, conversion files, and migration documentation

• Support testing efforts before and after data migrations

• Escalate complex data or system issues to the Lead Data Analyst or Manager

• Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure accurate and complete data conversion

• 1-3+ years of experience in a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role

• Experience running data extracts and working with large datasets

• Proficiency with SQL, including writing moderate queries to analyze and validate data

• Experience performing data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities

• Familiarity with data migrations, system conversions, or ERP/CRM implementations is a plus

• Basic experience with Power BI and/or Tableau

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Excellent documentation and organizational abilities
