Full Stack Engineer

You will work on challenging international IT projects within an EU Institution, in a multicultural environment and with modern technologies.

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Java and Angular to join our team in Brussels and contribute to challenging IT projects within an EU Institution.

Key Expertise

Java / Back-End - ESSENTIAL

• Strong experience with Java
• Solid experience with Spring Boot
• Experience with Hibernate
• Strong knowledge of REST API development
• Experience designing, building and securing RESTful APIs and web services
• Knowledge of OpenAPI / Swagger

️ Angular / Front-End - ESSENTIAL

• Strong experience with Angular
• Excellent knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Experience with modern front-end development practices
• Knowledge of Bootstrap
• Experience with modern build tools such as Webpack and Vite

️ Databases

• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Oracle
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
• Understanding of database schema design and query optimization

️ Cloud & DevOps

• Knowledge of AWS and/or Azure
• Experience deploying and managing applications in cloud environments
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly:
• Terraform
• AWS CloudFormation
• Azure Bicep
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

Security & Development Practices

• Understanding of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and JWT
• Experience with Git workflows, including GitFlow or trunk-based development
• Understanding of legacy systems using SVN

Additional Front-End / Back-End Technologies

Experience with React, Vue, Node.js and/or PHP is considered an advantage.
