Software Developer II

As a Software Developer, you will work as part of a collaborative engineering team to design, develop and maintain high-quality software that powers our products and platforms. Depending on the team, you may work across backend services, web applications, APIs, data platforms or other components of our technology ecosystem. • Contribute to the development of scalable, reliable and maintainable applications and platforms.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
• Write clean, efficient and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining high standards of code quality.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve technical issues across applications and services.
• Contribute to the performance, scalability, reliability and observability of our systems.
• Participate in technical discussions, solution design and continuous improvement of our software and engineering practices.
• Work with modern development, cloud and DevOps tools and practices, including automated testing and CI/CD.
• Continuously develop your technical knowledge and contribute ideas that improve our products, technology and ways of working.

• Professional experience developing and maintaining software applications or services.
• Strong programming skills in one or more modern programming languages.
• Experience building scalable and maintainable software.
• Familiarity with APIs, databases and distributed or cloud-based systems.
• Understanding of software engineering principles, including testing, debugging and code quality.
• Experience working with version control and modern software development practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues.

• A proactive mindset and willingness to learn new technologies and approaches. Nice to Have

• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or similar.
• Experience with CI/CD, containerisation and DevOps practices.
• Experience developing high-volume, distributed or highly scalable systems.
• Experience with frontend, backend or full-stack development.
• Familiarity with networking, telecommunications, connectivity, performance measurement or related technologies.
• Experience working with data-intensive applications or platforms.
