Job description
A leading UK manufacturing business is looking for an experienced Senior Application Analyst to join its established IT team and become the technical lead for Infor System21.
This is an opportunity to step into a genuinely influential role where your technical expertise will directly shape the systems supporting manufacturing, supply chain, warehousing, logistics, purchasing and finance.
The Opportunity
You’ll be the go-to technical specialist for Infor System21, responsible for keeping the platform robust, developing new functionality and finding smarter ways to support the wider business.
You’ll work closely with technical teams, business users and third-party suppliers, combining hands-on development, application support, integration and problem-solving.
You’ll also have the opportunity to mentor junior analysts and influence the future direction of the company’s application landscape.
What you’ll be doing

Take technical ownership of Infor System21 ERP

Support and enhance manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, logistics, purchasing and finance modules

Develop using RPGLE, CLLE and Embedded SQL

Work across IBM i / AS400, DB2 and SQL Server
-
Develop and support APIs, FTP/SFTP, EDI and XML integrations
-
Develop and maintain SSIS ETL processes and reporting solutions

Provide complex 3rd-line application support

Investigate and resolve challenging technical issues

Support upgrades, testing, change and continuous improvement projects

Work with software vendors and third-party suppliers

Produce reporting, dashboards and data solutions
Requirements
You’ll need strong commercial experience with:
| Infor System21 | IBM i / AS400 | RPGLE | CLLE | Embedded SQL | IBM DB2 | SQL Server |
You’ll also ideally bring experience of manufacturing or supply chain environments, together with knowledge of EDI, APIs, SSIS and SSAS.
Experience with technologies such as ASNA Aurora Web, Cobwebb, Kofax, Robot Scheduler, Qlik, SharePoint or handheld/RDT systems would be a bonus.
Most importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys solving problems, improving systems and working with people - not simply maintaining them.
