Job description

This position is for a Test and Assessment Lead. In this role, the candidate will:

  • Lead pre and post testing analyses for flight testing
  • Lead planning and execution of ground testing
  • Plan and execute delta qualification efforts

The candidate will be leading other team members, including involvement in training and hiring; some travel required.

The information below reflects the standard job description for this position: Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and application of one or more of the following systems engineering processes and systems integration functions:
  • Test planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependencies
  • System integration, test and/or verification
  • Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development
  • System modeling
  • System experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering (e.g. electrical, mechanical, propulsion, radio frequency)
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance; US citizenship required

Desired Skills

  • Experience with test assessment performance, processses and procedures
  • Experience with Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM)
  • 8+ years with spacecraft architecture design, development, integration, test with broad based and in-depth knowledge of space, missile and launch systems at the component through systems level
  • Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions, often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, incomplete data
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of daily program operations
  • Recognized as an authority in systems thinking techniques, with the demonstrated ability to apply them to a wide range of complex problems and train others in their application
  • Active Secret security clearance

Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
