Job description

  • Target shifts for this full-time position are Monday-Friday, 2pm-10pm EST
  • Active Secret clearance is required

PRIMARY PURPOSE

Responsible for physical and data security at CNA headquarters with 24/7 security presence, to include front desk staffing, roving patrols and escorting. Ensure the highest quality security services and preserve order in the protection of personnel, property, and sensitive information by enforcing security regulations, responding to alarms, and conducting security patrols and inspections. Responsible for access control, visitor management, and reporting security breaches. May handle emergency situations, maintain logs, and prepare reports., 1. Ensure compliance with established security policies, site-specific performance and procedures, and adhere to post orders.

  1. Manage entry and exit points, screen visitors and employees, and control the movement of people and vehicles.
  2. Conduct regular patrols to monitor the facility, identify potential security risks, and deter unauthorized access.
  3. Respond to security alarms, fire alarms, and other incidents while following established protocols.
  4. Document security incidents, visitor logs, preparing reports for management and other relevant information.
  5. Greet visitors and employees in a professional and welcoming manner, verify identities, grant access to specific areas and issue visitor identification badges.
  6. Answer questions and assist guests and employees.
  7. Open/close, lock/unlock sensitive rooms and areas.
  8. Conduct personal sweeps in closed areas; monitor prohibited items in certain areas.
  9. Correspond and interact with corporate security personnel regarding orders and execution.
  10. Protect classified materials and ensure proper handling and storage according to regulations.
  11. Act as a first responder in emergency situations, assisting and coordinating with other emergency personnel.
  12. Explain security procedures and report incidents.
  13. Identify and resolve security issues, respond to emergencies, and make sound judgments.
  14. Accurately maintain records and follow procedures.
  15. Communicate with colleagues, supervisors, and other relevant parties regarding security matters.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

  2. Experience: Minimum 3 years relevant experience with high-level security experience on DOD or military site preferred.

  3. Skills: Familiarity with security protocols, emergency procedures, and relevant regulations including DISS (Defense Information System for Security).Meticulous attention to detail. Basic computer skills to operate security systems and prepare reports. Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to articulate and explain dynamic situations coherently. Understand accountability and lead by example.

  4. Other: Must have an active Secret clearance

  5. Remote/Hybrid Work Eligibility: This position is not eligible for telecommuting or hybrid work arrangements. Occasional flexible work schedule may be possible at the discretion of the Supervisor.
