Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Policy as Code (PaC) to design, implement, and enforce secure cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering, security, and business stakeholders to develop scalable cloud governance frameworks, automate security controls, and ensure secure-by-default cloud deployments., Cloud Governance & Security

  • Evaluate cloud-native services and technologies, documenting security controls, standards, policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to translate security requirements into Policy as Code (PaC) implementations.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Policy as Code frameworks using Sentinel and native cloud policy engines.
  • Build and enhance secure Infrastructure as Code deployment pipelines using Terraform.
  • Collaborate with CNAPP and security teams to strengthen cloud guardrails and enforce secure-by-default configurations.

Cloud Infrastructure & Operations

  • Develop deep expertise in cloud-native offerings related to Compute, Storage, Data Services, AI/Agentic AI, and supporting architectures.
  • Troubleshoot, reproduce, and resolve cloud infrastructure issues while identifying root causes and implementing preventive controls.
  • Ensure cloud environments maintain high availability, security, compliance, and visibility.

Security & Monitoring

  • Implement and manage controls related to:
  • Network Isolation
  • Data Security
  • Identity and Access Management
  • Logging and Monitoring
  • Utilize tools such as Cloud Logging, Cloud Metrics, XQL, and similar observability solutions to monitor and secure cloud environments.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for engineering, sales, security, and customer teams.
  • Provide technical guidance to overcome deployment challenges and improve cloud infrastructure adoption and governance., Every Software Engineering team member is expected to demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including:
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)
  • Cloud Logging and Monitoring
  • Security Controls
  • Storage Services
  • Compute Services
  • Years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and Policy as Code solutions such as Sentinel.
  • Experience implementing and enforcing security controls across cloud-native infrastructure environments.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, high availability, security, and observability.
  • Programming experience in Java, Python, or Go.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn emerging technologies and apply them effectively., * Knowledge of FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization strategies.
  • Experience with cloud security posture management and cloud governance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML cloud services and their security considerations.
