Job description

The Systems Specialist, GCP Delivery and Change Management Lead for the Enterprise Data, AI & Governance (ED&A) Data and AI Platforms team is a critical role responsible for coordinating delivery across all platform workstreams and managing the change management and rollout processes. This is a direct hire role to be located on a Hybrid basis 3 days a week

In this role, you will lead delivery management across multiple parallel technical workstreams to ensure smooth, well-governed, and reliable platform releases. You will act as the core orchestrator tracking platform dependencies, technical risks, and schedule milestones. Additionally, you will drive stakeholder communication, construct technical status reporting, and run comprehensive release governance and readiness reviews, ensuring alignment with downstream business partners, cloud infrastructure teams, and corporate governance., * Delivery Management Across All Workstreams: Direct and facilitate delivery across parallel platform workstreams (including Platform Operations, Data Engineering, and Data Governance), steering Agile ceremonies, tracking technical deliverables, and ensuring execution velocity.

  • Change Management & Rollout Coordination: Design, establish, and execute the operational change management (OCM) frameworks, training guides, and communications necessary to prepare the organization for platform upgrades, migration rollouts, and new cloud feature releases.
  • Dependency, Risk, & Milestone Tracking: Proactively map out inter-workstream dependencies, identify critical path blockages, and manage platform-level risk logs, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure predictable platform timelines.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Status Reporting: Author and publish transparent, data-driven status updates, key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards, and strategic reports for engineering managers, executive leadership, and business stakeholders.
  • Release Governance & Readiness Reviews: Define, implement, and lead formal production readiness reviews (PRRs) and release governance checkpoints to verify compliance, architectural alignment, operational runbooks, and rollback plan viability before deployment.
  • Agile Tooling & Workflow Optimization: Own and configure the platform’s delivery management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence) to maintain work visibility, epic-to-task traceability, and automated sprint metrics.
  • Collaborative Planning: Coordinate with source systems owners, legacy database teams, and cloud engineering organizations to establish aligned release windows, reducing service disruption

Requirements

Proven experience leading technical delivery, program management, or release pipelines across

complex cloud environments (GCP preferred).

Strong expertise in Organizational Change Management (OCM) frameworks, change

impact analysis, and platform rollout coordination.

In-depth knowledge of Agile delivery tools and planning suites (specifically Azure DevOps or

Jira/Confluence) for tracking sprints, epics, and work velocity.

Demonstrated track record in release governance, including establishing deployment

gateways, checklist auditing, and conducting operational readiness reviews.

Pluses:

Experience identifying, modeling, and managing complex multi-system technical dependencies

and risks in data-heavy or AI-centric initiatives.

Experience with infrastructure or data engineering development patterns (e.g., CI/CD

pipelines, DevOps pipelines) to align governance processes with development speeds.

Strong familiarity with utility sector data operations, regulatory standards, or legacy

infrastructure environments.
