Job description
- Provide PMO support to utility and energy provider clients on technology implementation projects.
- Support project planning, tracking, reporting, and governance activities across multiple workstreams.
- Assist with developing and maintaining project schedules, RAID logs, action items, status reports, and other PMO deliverables.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and materials, capture decisions, and follow up on action items to ensure timely completion.
- Partner with project managers, client stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to drive execution and issue resolution.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and help facilitate mitigation planning and escalation, as needed.
- Support process improvement efforts to strengthen PMO practices, project controls, and delivery consistency.
- Contribute to clear and effective communication across internal teams and external client stakeholders.
Requirements
- Must be a US Permanent Resident or US Citizen due to nature of client engagement.
- High school diploma AND Nine (9+) plus years of post-graduation work experience; Or Associate’s degree AND Seven (7+) plus years of post-graduation work experience; Or Bachelor’s degree AND Five (5+) plus years of post-graduation work experience.
- Total years of experience MUST include Four (4+) plus years project management, PMO, or project controls experience in the Utilities or Energy sector.
- Experience supporting technology implementation projects, preferably in the utility, energy, or other regulated industry.
- Strong understanding of PMO methodologies, project governance, and project lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated experience with project planning, scheduling, status reporting, issue/risk tracking, and stakeholder coordination.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced client environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with remote and distributed teams.
- Ability to travel.
- Ability to work in a Guidehouse Office or Client Office as needed.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- Preference will be given to candidate that reside within 50 miles of a Guidehouse Office.
- Paid professional experience with enterprise applications, such as GIS, AMI, WM, CIS, or other large-scale implementation efforts.
- Professional certification, such as PMP, CAPM, or similar.
- Experience with project management tools, such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, or similar platforms.
Benefits & conditions
The annual salary range for this position is $122,000.00-$204,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
