Job description
The Lead Enterprise Systems Analyst serves as a senior technical and functional expert responsible for the design, optimization, and ongoing support of enterprise platforms, with a focus on Workday and UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM). This role provides technical leadership for enterprise application initiatives that drive operational efficiency, standardization, and continuous improvement across Human Resources, Finance, Payroll, and Workforce Management.
Acting as both a technical lead and project leader, the Lead Enterprise Systems Analyst coordinates day-to-day application activities, manages prioritized work intake, and ensures the successful delivery of enhancements, integrations, upgrades, and issue resolution. This role leads solution design, system configuration, testing, implementation, and deployment activities while maintaining alignment with organizational governance, security, and data integrity standards.
The Lead Enterprise Systems Analyst mentors application analysts, promotes technical best practices, and serves as the primary escalation point for complex application, integration, and system issues. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, vendors, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, and cross-functional Information Systems teams to translate business requirements into scalable, sustainable technology solutions. Operating in a hybrid/on-site environment, this position plays a critical role in ensuring enterprise applications deliver measurable value, improve workforce productivity, and support Baptist Health’s strategic initiatives.
Lead Enterprise Systems Analyst Responsibilities:
- Serve as the senior technical expert for enterprise application initiatives, leading projects that drive innovation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement while coordinating cross-functional project teams.
- Lead day-to-day technical operations, mentor application analysts, assign operational priorities, provide advanced production support, and serve as the technical lead for enterprise application design, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support.
- Provide 24/7 operational support for assigned enterprise applications and systems as part of an on-call rotation.
- Maintain advanced knowledge of Workday modules (HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting, Talent, Finance) and UKG Pro Workforce Management (Timekeeping, Scheduling, Accruals, Workforce Analytics).
- Lead system configuration, business process design, integrations (APIs, middleware, web services), reporting, analytics, and enterprise application optimization.
- Ensure data governance, application security, compliance, and system integrity across enterprise platforms.
- Lead enterprise system implementations, upgrades, optimization initiatives, and post-go-live stabilization efforts.
- Collaborate with business leaders, vendors, and Information Systems teams to develop scalable technical solutions aligned with organizational goals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve highly complex application, integration, workflow, security, and system issues.
- Develop technical documentation, workflow diagrams, architecture documentation, implementation plans, and support standards.
Requirements
- Proven ability to lead through influence while driving alignment across business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and long-term, sustainable solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Demonstrated commitment to mentoring, team development, and establishing accountability across technical teams.
- Proven experience supporting enterprise Information Systems applications, including Workday and UKG, with strong organizational, technical leadership, and project coordination skills.
- Experience leading enterprise application implementations, enhancements, integrations, and optimization initiatives.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare, healthcare operations, or information technology required.
- Working knowledge of project management methodologies, systems analysis, application architecture, and enterprise systems design required.
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience supporting Workday and UKG enterprise applications preferred.
- Certification in relevant Workday, UKG, or other enterprise application modules preferred., * Information Technology Experience
