Job description

Design, develop, test, and maintain modern C#/.NET web APIs and backend services.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, including data contracts, validation, and authentication/authorization mechanisms.
Write unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
Design and implement data access solutions using PostgreSQL.
Support cybersecurity and data protection requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
Integrate front-end components with backend APIs and ensure reliable communication between application layers.
Document processes, techniques, and best practices for application development and deployment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of API solutions into existing systems and workflows.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
5+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrated experience building and supporting web applications.
Strong professional experience developing, testing, and maintaining RESTful web APIs in the .NET ecosystem.
Experience working with relational databases, including querying, designing, and optimizing databases.
Experience with PostgreSQL or a comparable relational database.
Familiarity with software development best practices, including testing, debugging, code reviews, and application performance optimization.
Experience with Git version control and a DevSecOps Platform such as GitLab.
Experience working with Docker or other containerization technologies.
Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain/maintain a DoW security clearance.
Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong understanding of the C# language.
Familiarity with frontend frameworks and languages such as React, Typescript, and Javascript.
Experience with API documentation and tooling such as OpenAPI/Swagger.
Familiarity with developing reusable NPM packages or component libraries.
Experience integrating frontend solutions with backend APIs, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies, DevSecOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
