Date Engineer (Analytics)

You’ll be at the forefront of delivering data and software solutions that directly impact our clients’ law enforcement mission. You’ll work with dedicated team members and clients to solve analytical and technical problems that help federal law enforcement agencies keep our country safe and secure., * Gather requirements, collect data, design and create reports in response to emerging stakeholder needs

• Develop scalable, high-performance queries and analytics tools

• Communicate effectively with clients and collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Respond to client requirements in tight timeframes

Do you have experience in Search engines?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and a passion for continuous learning; willing to learn emerging technologies

• Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment; adapts to evolving requirements and complex challenges

• Exhibits strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail; able to troubleshoot data issues and propose effective solutions

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Required Technical Skills

• Report and Dashboard Development Skills

• Relational database experience in Oracle or Postgres

• ElasticSearch/OpenSearch query experience

• Experience researching, understanding, and combining disparate data sources

• Strong SQL & Data Concepts Knowledge

Desired Technical Skills

• AWS (S3, RDS, EC2, Lamba, Step Function, EventBridge, OpenSearch/ElasticSearch)

• JSON and JSON format mediation techniques

• Reporting and Dashboard building with PowerBI and Tableau

• DevSecOps tools and techniques (Jenkins, Git)

• Familiarity with data management and aggregation patterns such as data warehouse, data mart, data lake, delta lake, lakehouse, data mesh, * US Citizenship (ability to obtain and maintain a DHS 6C Public Trust clearance)

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (computer science background recommended but not required with suitable experience)

• Ability to work 100% onsite in Washington D.C. during core business hours

Experience

• Candidates should possess at least 3 years of relevant experience; however we are actively hiring across multiple experience levels, including more senior candidates.

• Leveling and compensation will be determined based on years of experience, technical expertise, and overall qualifications

• Experience working in government or high-security environments is a plus
