Job description

We are seeking an experienced Manual QA Engineer to define and implement the quality assurance strategy for Microsoft .NET applications. This role will establish a culture of quality across the team, ensuring applications meet functional, performance, and accessibility standards. The engineer will perform manual testing, contribute to automation readiness, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver reliable, compliant solutions., * Define QA strategy, select frameworks, and establish best practices for .NET applications.

  • Perform manual functional, regression, and UAT testing on MVC and .NET Core applications.
  • Write and maintain YAML files to trigger automated tests within Azure DevOps build/release pipelines.
  • Conduct backend data validation using SQL.
  • Perform API testing for RESTful services.
  • Ensure all web applications comply with WCAG 2.2 Level AA and Section 508 accessibility standards.
  • Collaborate with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to maintain quality across the software lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience testing applications built in C# / .NET (MVC and .NET Core).
  • Strong proficiency in manual testing methodologies and QA processes.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL for backend validation.
  • Experience with API testing (RESTful services).
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines and YAML scripting.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment., * Experience transitioning from manual to automation testing.
  • Exposure to accessibility compliance testing (WCAG, Section 508).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
