Job description
We are seeking an experienced Axway SecureTransport Advanced Routing Engineer with strong hands-on experience designing, building, administering, and supporting Axway SecureTransport (ST) Advanced Routing (AR) solutions for enterprise Managed File Transfer (MFT) environments., The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Axway SecureTransport versions 5.5-2026x, running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and will be responsible for designing and supporting secure, reliable, and highly available file-transfer solutions in a regulated, mission-critical environment., * Design, implement, and support Advanced Routing flows for complex partner ecosystems.
- Configure and manage routes, policies, partners, transfer sites, subscriptions, schedules, and routing rules.
- Implement conditional routing logic, error-handling behaviors, and partner-specific policies and SLAs.
- Validate routing integrity and perform test transfers.
- Document routing controls, escalation procedures, and operational processes.
Tier-3 Engineering & Troubleshooting
- Provide advanced Tier-3 troubleshooting across:
- RHEL/Linux operating systems
- Network infrastructure
- Axway SecureTransport application layers
- Secure transfer protocols
- Routing decisions
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement remediation.
- Develop lightweight operational scripts for log parsing, certificate validation, and routing checks.
Security & Certificate Management
- Manage enterprise security configurations involving SFTP/SSH, HTTPS/TLS, FTPS, and PGP/GPG.
- Manage certificate and key lifecycle activities, including:
- CSR generation
- Certificate issuance
- Renewals
- Certificate pinning
- Trust store and key store administration
- Manage certificate and key rotation schedules.
- Support security hardening aligned with enterprise, CIS/NIST, and audit requirements.
Monitoring & Operational Support
- Implement and tune monitoring and alerting for:
- Routing flows
- Partner failures
- Certificate expirations
- Transfer health
- Utilize monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
- Analyze application and system logs to identify and resolve issues.
- Participate in on-call support for mission-critical file transfers.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Collaborate with application, security, network, and infrastructure teams.
- Advise stakeholders regarding routing impacts, partner onboarding standards, and security considerations.
- Create and maintain:
- SOPs
- Runbooks
- Technical documentation
- Knowledge articles
- Support audit, compliance, and vulnerability-remediation activities.
Requirements
- 5+ years administering Axway SecureTransport in a production environment.
- 5+ years of Linux/RHEL system administration experience.
- 3+ years designing and supporting SecureTransport Advanced Routing, including:
- Policies
- Routes
- Partners
- Transfer Sites
- Subscriptions
- Schedules
- 3+ years of Tier-3 troubleshooting across SecureTransport protocols and routing decisions.
- 3+ years of enterprise security experience involving:
- SSH/PKI/PGP
- TLS
- Certificate management, * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
- Relevant certifications in Linux, Security, or Axway are a plus.
