Job description

As a Forward Deployment Engineer, you will work closely with Sales, Engineering, and Service Delivery teams to ensure our customers are achieving successful implementations of complex end-to-end deployments of frontier models. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to drive discovery, technical scoping, system design, build, and production rollout. You must have a strong understanding of the go-to-market and sales processes. Gap identification and whitespace mapping comes naturally to you. You are a person who is always thinking about how agents can be used to do a piece or work better and faster. You’re not only brimming with innovative ideas but have the technical knowhow and tools to quickly convert those ideas into production grade solutions. Through your collaborative interactions with our teams and stakeholders, you’ll have an active role in shaping our stakeholder experience from start to finish.

You will measure success through production adoption, measurable workflow impact, and eval-driven feedback that changes product and model roadmaps. You’ll work closely with our Product, Research, Partnerships, GRC, Security, and GTM teams. Responsibilities

  • Explore and ideate opportunities in GTM teams to drive and scale the adoption of agentic solutions, complex data models, and intricate workflows
  • Map out the sales journey and create an end-to-end blueprint to identify opportunities for AI and agentic ways of working
  • Enhance sales productivity through smart and personalized approach to workflow automation
  • Own technical delivery across multiple deployments from prototype to stable production
  • Build full-stack systems that deliver customer value and sharpen how we learn
  • Have architectural bent of mind, innovative thinking, real-time creation & demo of potential solutions, and knowledge of business workflows & industry solutions
  • Embed closely with account teams, understand their needs, and guide adoption of what you build
  • Scope work, sequence delivery, and remove blockers early
  • Make trade-offs between scope, speed, and quality; adjust plans to protect delivery
  • Codify working patterns into tools, playbooks, or building blocks that others can use
  • Hands-on-keyboard - over 60% of your work will involve coding and agent development & deployment
  • Share field feedback that helps Research and Product understand where the models succeed and where they can improve
  • Keep teams moving through clarity and follow-through
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers to drive customer success and satisfaction.
  • Put on consulting hat during stakeholder engagements and drive full stack thinking around both business and technology levers
  • Design and propose fit-for-purpose agentic solutions for clients based on your research and their needs.
  • Prepare demonstrations and proof of concept environments based on client requirements.
  • Embrace 66degrees team mentality by providing our team general support on new products and technology in the market.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Azure/AWS (GCP Preferred).
  • Professional level certification in GCP is required. FDE training and certification is a plus.
  • Experience strategizing, designing, architecting, and leading the deployment of scalable solutions on GCP, strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of engineering or technical deployment experience that includes customer- or internal stakeholder-facing work
  • Scope and deliver complex systems in fast-moving or ambiguous environments
  • Expertise in production-grade code across frontend and backend using Python, JavaScript, or comparable stacks
  • Have built or deployed systems powered by LLMs or generative models and understand how model behaviour affects product experience, preferably in Google stack or Anthropic
  • Drive solutions from ambiguity to simplicity in a fast paced environment within tight deadlines
  • Strong communication, clarity of thoughts, full-stack approach, and leadership drive critical decisions with engineers, product teams, and customer stakeholders
  • Be comfortable working at all levels of leadership, including CXOs
  • Foresight, risk management, and runtime adjustments without impacting customer experience
