Job description

  • Full cycle PCB design including establishing or collecting requirements, schematic design, component selection, supervision or completion of layout, bring-up, test, debug and integration with the system.
  • Develop system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses that connect electronic equipment.
  • Provide support and collaborate within other air vehicle subsystem development constraints.
  • Vendor surveys and evaluation to support sourcing for system components.
  • Conduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews
  • Build up and test of engine system components through lab, ground, and flight tests

Requirements

  • BS/MS or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 7+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs.
  • Strong background in circuit design, including components, and mixed-signals design.
  • Experience with sensor design, build, test, and integration.
  • Design experience in UAS, power electronics, converter design, or powertrain.
  • Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current-probes, and automation of tests.
  • Familiarity with standard interfaces such as CAN, I2C, SPI, etc.
  • Comfortable with a variety of electronic CAD tools (Altium preferred, Eagle and others acceptable)
  • Experience in EMI testing.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance, * Performed environmental testing in previous positions for military and/or commercial industry.
  • Previous experience designing and testing height of burst sensors for ordnance fuzing applications.
  • Previous experience designing and testing ordnance fuzing systems.
  • Experience in UAS, missiles, or maritime programs.
  • Experience with the DoD Weapons Safety Boards.
  • Experience designing and scaling production of components at volume.
  • Experience developing or testing complex electrical systems.
  • Experience with MIL-STD-1316, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-882E, MIL-STD-2105.
  • Experience with JOTP-052 and JOTP-054.
  • Experience with explosive operations and/or handling munitions.
