Job description

The Cloud Administrator provides operational support across cloud environments, ensuring stable, secure, and well-maintained infrastructure. This role focuses heavily on administering and operating the Turbot platform, supporting migrations, refining cloud environments, and coordinating O&M activities with system and project teams.

The Work:

  • Use automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, GraphQL, or similar.- Install, upgrade, configure, and operate the Turbot solution for AWS.- Configure and maintain core services including authentication, monitoring, security, and configuration management to support environment stand-up and migrations.- Support deployment and configuration of monitoring tools for AWS/Azure across Windows and Linux.- Create and maintain automation scripts and gold images.- Report on infrastructure health and maintain production operations manuals (POMs).- Use enterprise cloud tools, CSP portals, and approved TRM tooling to support VA applications., * Monitoring & performance tools: Dynatrace, AppDynamics- Security tools: Nessus, NetSkope, eMASS, Centrify- Governance: Turbot (highly preferred)- DevOps/Ops: Ansible, ServiceNow, Splunk, Jira ServiceDesk, GitHub, Cloudockit, ScienceLogic- Containerization: Red Hat OpenShift- Migration tools: CloudKey, Jira- Reporting: Apptio, CLS- AWS/Azure native tools: CloudWatch, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, KMS, IAM, VPC, Azure Monitor, AIP, Key Vault, RBAC, ARM- ITIL knowledge- Nessus remediation; Linux/Windows systems administration- Security standards, compliance, and threat mitigation- SOP and technical documentation writing- Federal contracting experience- Configuration tools: Chef, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or 10+ years of equivalent experience.- Minimum 3 years of direct experience with Turbot (Security & Compliance Governance).- 6+ years of hands-on experience with AWS operational tools and cloud compliance.- Current AWS or Azure certification (e.g., AWS CCP/CSA, AZ-900, AZ-104).- Experience with automation (Ansible, Git), Linux troubleshooting, networking, scripting, and systems administration.- Strong understanding of system administration fundamentals and secure environment practices.- Experience with Terraform and/or GraphQL., * US Citizenship required.
