Job description

Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role. Monetary compensation is one component of ASM’s overall compensation and benefits package for employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer/Engineering Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field OR 10 years of work experience in cybersecurity engineering., * 3+ years of work experience in cybersecurity engineering.
  • Experience developing and integrating cybersecurity designs for systems and networks.
  • Experience documenting and addressing organizational security architecture and systems security engineering requirements.
  • Experience defining baseline security requirements and contributing to system security context and CONOPS development.
  • Experience documenting protection needs and security controls for information systems and networks.
  • Ability to perform security reviews, identify gaps in architecture or controls, and develop security risk management plans.
  • Experience using vulnerability scanning tools for operating systems, web applications, and databases.
  • Skill in translating operational requirements into security controls.
  • Experience working with Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) platforms.
  • Hands on experience with Windows and Linux, including configuration, maintenance, and system management.

Certification

  • At least one of the following (or equivalent as approved by the organization): CISSP, CCSP, RHCSA, GIAC
