Programmer

Diversified Systems is searching for a Programmer to work closely with the designated I.T. supervisor, project managers and other developers in an agile development environment. The work scope of the consultant will include requirements gathering, application design, application development, testing, deployment and technical support.

The Consultant, in working with staff, will be responsible for new development and/or rewriting legacy applications to .NET applications utilizing C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, Web API, Windows Forms, SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS and other technologies.

The new applications will implement an N-tier architecture and comply with coding standards.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the designated I.T. supervisor, project managers and other developers in an agile development environment.
• Perform requirements gathering, application design, application development, testing, deployment and technical support.
• Perform new development and/or rewrite legacy applications to .NET applications utilizing C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, Web API, Windows Forms, SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS and other technologies.
• Implement new applications using an N-tier architecture and comply with coding standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to technical staff.

• Strong communication/leadership skills required.
• Strong influence, collaboration and negotiation experience required.
• Ability to collaborate with supporting resources across business and/or functional lines required.
• Excellent oral and written skills/strong meeting and work session facilitation skills required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team and manage time and resources to meet assigned deadlines required.
• Strong understanding of prioritization stemming from the elicitation of system and/or user requirements required.
• Excellent organizational skills, proven analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills required.
• Must be knowledgeable in the English language/speak clearly and understandably use the English language required.
• 10 years of .NET Web Developer experience developing ASP.NET MVC applications with ADO.NET required.
• 10 years of ASP.NET development using C# required.
• 10 years of SQL Server database design and development, including query optimization, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions required.
• 10 years of experience developing web applications using .NET Framework 4.0 or higher required.
• 10 years of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience developing and securing Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) required.
• 10 years of experience with N-tier environments as related to development and deployment required.
• 10 years of experience with code repository, code promotion, and recovery strategies using TFS required.
• 5 years of experience developing applications using Entity Framework (EF) 4.0 or later required.
• 5 years of experience developing reports using SSRS and SSIS and making them accessible within an MVC web application required.
• 5 years of experience developing projects using Agile methodology with TFS/DevOps required.
• 5 years of experience developing with Visual Studio, including 2 years with Visual Studio 2019 required.
• 5 years of experience with TFS/Azure DevOps, including Git, Boards, and CI/CD pipelines required.
• 2 years of REST API experience required.
• 5 years of experience implementing AJAX-enabled controls within ASP.NET web applications highly desired.
