Job description

  • Administer and support Cohesity technologies, including DataProtect, Helios, SmartFiles, Data Cloud, and cluster environments.
  • Design and maintain enterprise backup and recovery architectures, backup policies, retention schedules, and cyber recovery strategies.
  • Support Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity planning efforts, including recovery runbooks, testing, and validation activities.
  • Manage and support VMware environments, including vCenter integration, VM backups, recovery operations, and protection groups.
  • Integrate Cohesity platforms with enterprise infrastructure services including Active Directory, DNS, authentication services, and security platforms.
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures, technical documentation, and recovery processes.
  • Utilize automation, scripting, and REST APIs to support integrations and operational efficiencies.
  • Troubleshoot backup, storage, networking, and recovery-related issues across enterprise environments.
  • Support cloud and hybrid-cloud backup and data protection initiatives.
  • Assist with security and compliance requirements, including RMF, DISA, RBAC, PKI, FIPS, and audit logging controls.
  • Participate in technical discussions with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements and support operational objectives.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience administering Cohesity technologies, including DataProtect, Helios, SmartFiles, Data Cloud, and cluster management.
  • Experience designing and supporting enterprise backup and recovery solutions.
  • Experience supporting Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity initiatives.
  • Strong VMware experience, including vCenter, ESXi, backup, recovery, and snapshot administration.
  • Experience supporting cloud and hybrid cloud data protection environments.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, DNS, and firewalls.
  • Experience utilizing REST APIs, scripting, and automation tools.
  • Experience working in Federal or DoD environments and familiarity with RMF and DISA requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers and technical teams.
