Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Nonprofit Prospect Development Manager for a highly respected nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing hunger and strengthening communities. This is a full-time, direct-hire, hybrid opportunity open to candidates residing in Oregon or Southwest Washington. The Nonprofit Prospect Development Manager will lead the organization’s prospect research and management function, driving prospect identification, research, moves management, portfolio strategy, data analysis, and systems that strengthen philanthropic relationship development and fundraising efforts. This position will also lead and support a team of three while partnering closely with fundraising leadership to develop long-term strategies, strengthen donor pipelines, and advance organizational goals., * Lead the design and implementation of prospect research and management programs aligned with organizational fundraising strategies, annual priorities, and long-term goals.
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of three while overseeing prospect research, portfolio management, reporting, data analysis, and prospect development activities.
- Develop proactive prospecting methodologies utilizing data mining, sophisticated constituent database queries, prospect research, analytics, and portfolio strategy.
- Lead and strengthen moves management, prospect tracking, donor strategy meetings, relationship-management systems, and major-gift prospect identification.
- Conduct and oversee high-level research on individuals, corporations, and foundations while developing prospect profiles, reports, and actionable insights for fundraising teams.
- Partner with fundraising leadership on long-term planning, annual revenue budgeting, goal tracking, work planning, systems development, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in prospect research and management, moves management, sales operations, or a closely related field.
- 3+ years of leadership experience coaching, training, supervising, or guiding professional staff, interns, vendors, consultants, volunteers, or project teams.
- Demonstrated ability to develop proactive prospecting methodologies utilizing data mining, sophisticated constituent database queries, relational databases, spreadsheets, and data exports.
- Knowledge of Moves Management, Community-Centric Fundraising principles, and/or other philanthropic development concepts and methodologies, along with demonstrated ability to establish long-term plans, objectives, and measurable goals.
- High proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office and experience with donor and prospecting databases; Raiser’s Edge/RENXT, iWave, LexisNexis, EveryAction, or comparable systems are highly valued.

Opportunity to make an impact with a highly respected, mission-driven nonprofit organization, This is a full-time, exempt hybrid position open to candidates residing within Oregon or Southwest Washington. Candidates located within the Portland metropolitan area generally work onsite approximately once per month. Candidates residing outside the Portland metro area should anticipate traveling to the Portland office approximately twice per year. General working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend work required based on organizational needs., * Competitive annual salary of $82,590-$93,208, based on experience.
