Job description
Duke Corporate Education is seeking a Director of Information Technology to lead our global technology strategy across a multi-site, international organization operating in 4 countries. Operational reliability remains essential and this role carries executive accountability for global availability, cybersecurity, audit readiness, client confidentiality, and regulatory compliance across all regions. At the same time, this is not a traditional infrastructure role. A key focus of this role is to position technology as a competitive advantage for the business. You will act as both a credible technologist and a strategic partner, working closely with client-facing teams and functional leaders to identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and enhance how we deliver value., Strategic Technology Leadership
- Define and execute global IT strategy aligned to business priorities
- Partner with client delivery, finance, HR, and operations
- Translate emerging technologies, including AI, into business applications
- Lead horizon scanning and innovation business cases
AI, Automation, and Digital Enablement
- Own enterprise AI strategy, governance, and adoption
- Lead evaluation and scaling of AI and automation tools
- Maximize Microsoft 365 ecosystem including Copilot and Power Platform
- Ensure compliance with data protection and client standards
Business Systems and Data Capability
- Oversee ERP (D365) and Power BI platforms
- Improve reporting and decision support capability
- Drive systems integration across platforms
Infrastructure, Security, and Risk
- Ensure global IT reliability and resilience
- Maintain cybersecurity and data protection compliance
- Lead Zero Trust / SASE architecture
- Manage vendor relationships
Requirements
Do you have experience in Vendor relationship management?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * 8-12 years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles, including experience operating at a senior or director level
- Proven track record of leading technology-enabled business transformation, not just infrastructure management
- Experience operating in a global, multi-site environment, ideally across multiple regulatory jurisdictions
- Demonstrated ability to partner with business leaders to deliver practical, value-driven technology solutions
- Experience managing third-party vendors and complex technology ecosystems
Technical Expertise
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, and Copilot
- Experience with ERP platforms, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
- Familiarity with AI tools and enterprise AI adoption frameworks, including governance, risk, and compliance considerations
- Solid grounding in infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, and data protection frameworks
- Understanding of systems integration and data architecture within a professional services or client-driven environment
Leadership and Business Capability
- Strong influencing skills with the ability to drive adoption across functions without direct authority
- Clear and confident communicator, able to engage with both executive stakeholders and technical teams
- Demonstrated experience leading teams through change and digital transformation initiatives
- Commercially aware, with a focus on business outcomes, efficiency, and client impact
- Able to balance innovation, risk, and operational resilience in a fast-paced environment, * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field required
- Master’s degree (e.g., MBA or equivalent) preferred
- Relevant certifications in cloud, AI, or cybersecurity (e.g., Azure, AWS, CISSP) are advantageous
