Job description

A freestanding ER in Longview, TX is seeking an _IT Technician - Nights & Weekends _to join their team. We’re expanding our IT Support coverage and are looking to add two part-time IT Technicians to support coverage from 7PM to Midnight and weekends from 9AM to 6PM. The IT Technician will strive to provide proficient, competent care. Responsibilities for the ** IT Technician - Nights & Weekends**

  • Setting up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices such as routers and printers.
  • Checking computer hardware to ensure functionality.
  • Installing and configuring appropriate software and functions according to specifications.
  • Performing troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems including repair and replace parts and debugging.
  • Maintaining records and logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule.
  • Maintaining updated and efficient computer systems and networks to optimize the role of technology on business sustainability.
  • Communicating with the technology team and other departments as collaboration requires.
  • Supporting the implementation of new software and hardware.
  • Coordinating IT activities to ensure data availability and network services with as little downtime as necessary.

Requirements

  • Proven knowledge of the hierarchical infrastructure of health information systems.
  • Proven working knowledge of diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in the latest technology for IT systems and management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Thorough understanding of IT and practical applications to support the company’s goals.
  • Associate degree in programming, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Working knowledge and experience of Healthcare Information Systems and Technology.
  • Ability to read, speak and write the English language.
