Job description
We are seeking an experienced Director of Application Support & Programming to lead the strategy, administration, development, and support of enterprise applications within a dynamic financial services environment. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), this leadership role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of critical business applications while driving innovation and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will oversee application development, production support, system integrations, records management, and service delivery initiatives. This individual will collaborate closely with business and technology leaders to align application strategies with organizational objectives, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver exceptional value to internal and external stakeholders. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to build and lead a high-performing team., * Lead the management, support, enhancement, and modernization of enterprise applications.
- Oversee application development, production support, system integration, and records management functions.
- Drive service delivery excellence and ensure optimal application performance and availability.
- Develop and execute application strategies aligned with organizational goals and business priorities.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
- Manage and mentor a team focused on delivering exceptional customer service and business outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to best practices, governance standards, and operational controls.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in database administration and programming operations.
- 4+ years of experience managing a core processing platform, preferably within a credit union, banking, or financial services environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience leading and developing technical teams.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
