Remote PIM Architect

We are seeking an experienced Senior PIM Architect with deep expertise in Product Information Management (PIM), commerce ecosystems, and enterprise architecture. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex business and technology challenges while helping organizations transform how product information is created, governed, enriched, activated, and delivered across channels.

Success in this role requires balancing business objectives with architecture excellence across solution design, integration strategy, data modeling, scalability, technology evaluation, and stakeholder alignment. This is not just a platform implementation role.

You will work with cross-functional teams including business leaders, product owners, strategists, business analysts, engineers, and delivery teams to design scalable product data ecosystems that improve operational efficiency, accelerate time-to-market, enable omnichannel growth, and support AI-driven customer experiences.

This role combines architecture leadership, consulting, innovation, and hands-on problem-solving. You’ll help clients define future-state architectures, evaluate emerging technologies, validate architecture decisions through proof-of-concepts, and guide transformation programs from vision through successful implementation., Architecture & Solution Design

Lead architecture and solution design for enterprise PIM initiatives and product data transformation programs.

Design scalable end-to-end product data ecosystems spanning PIM, ERP, DAM, eCommerce, OMS, syndication, marketing, and related platforms.

Define enterprise product data models, taxonomies, attribute frameworks, classification structures, and governance approaches.

Architect solutions supporting the complete lifecycle of product information, from onboarding and enrichment through syndication and optimization.

Lead architecture across large-scale, multi-system, and multi-region commerce ecosystems, ensuring solutions are scalable, performant, and aligned with enterprise technology standards.

Develop architecture artifacts including logical architectures, physical architectures, domain models, integration diagrams, and future-state roadmaps.

Integration Architecture

Architect integration solutions across ERP, DAM, commerce, OMS, syndication, marketing, and data platforms using modern API, middleware, event-driven, and composable architecture patterns.

Define data flow, integration, and synchronization strategies that support reliable product information exchange across systems and channels.

Establish reusable integration standards, patterns, and architecture principles that can be leveraged across multiple implementations.

Data Architecture & Governance

Design scalable frameworks for managing product attributes, hierarchies, relationships, reference data, and localization requirements.

Define governance approaches that improve product data quality, completeness, consistency, and readiness for market activation.

Help clients establish stewardship models, ownership structures, workflows, and KPIs that support long-term operational success.

Technology Evaluation & Innovation

Evaluate PIM, MDM, and adjacent technologies through structured assessments aligned to business objectives and technical requirements.

Lead vendor evaluations, proof-of-concepts, architecture assessments, and technology selection initiatives.

Assess emerging technologies, AI-enabled capabilities, and innovation opportunities that can improve product data management and customer experiences.

Provide architecture recommendations that influence platform strategy, modernization initiatives, and future-state technology roadmaps.

Consulting & Leadership

Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, architecture reviews, and strategic planning activities with business and technology stakeholders.

Translate business requirements into actionable solution architectures and implementation roadmaps.

Mentor architects, business analysts, developers, and delivery teams throughout project execution.

Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping align architecture decisions with business outcomes.

7+ years of total experience in Product Information Management (PIM) with at least 3 years of that being an Architect

Experience designing and delivering enterprise PIM, MDM, commerce, or product data management solutions.

Experience architecting large-scale, multi-system commerce and product data ecosystems involving PIM, ERP, DAM, eCommerce, OMS, syndication, marketing, and related platforms.

Strong expertise in product data architecture, taxonomy design, attribute modeling, governance, syndication, and product lifecycle management.

Experience designing integration architectures using APIs, middleware, event-driven patterns, and modern integration platforms.

Experience with commercial PIM solutions such as Akeneo, inriver, Stibo, Syndigo, Salsify, Informatica P360, or similar platforms.
