Job description
Blu Omega is seeking an AI/ML Technical Lead to support a federal program focused on public health and safety. This role operates within a hybrid environment and is responsible for leading the architecture, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale AI and machine learning solutions. The position requires experience supporting AI, ML, and data-driven solutions within mission-driven environments., * Lead the architecture, design, and development of enterprise AI/ML solutions supporting complex public health use cases
- Provide technical leadership to AI/ML engineers, data engineers, and other technical resources, establishing standards and approaches
- Design and implement solutions leveraging Python, PySpark, SQL, Palantir Foundry, and Foundry AIP
- Architect agentic AI solutions, including AI agents, multi-step workflows, and orchestration frameworks
- Develop and refine end-to-end RAG architectures, including ingestion, retrieval, ranking, and response workflows
- Create and maintain AI evaluation frameworks for performance, safety, and reliability monitoring
- Guide MCP-enabled architectures for secure interaction with enterprise data and tools
- Integrate AI tools such as Codex, Claude, Prompt Buddy, and OpenEvidence into operational workflows
- Support scalable data pipelines and promote AI governance, responsible AI, and privacy standards
- Apply MLOps practices using MLflow for model lifecycle management
- Assess emerging AI technologies and recommend practical enterprise adoption strategies
- Communicate technical decisions and architecture recommendations to diverse stakeholders
Requirements
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability determination, * 5+ years of experience developing AI/ML solutions with Python
- 5+ years supporting AI/ML solutions involving generative AI, LLMs, or AI agents
- 3+ years designing AI agents, agentic architectures, MCP solutions, or AI evaluation strategies
- Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow in production environments
- Strong data engineering skills using PySpark and SQL
- Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry and Foundry AIP supporting AI data solutions
- Expertise in designing RAG architectures, retrieval workflows, and agent orchestration
- Familiarity with MLOps tools such as MLflow and platforms like Azure or Databricks
- Experience integrating enterprise AI tools such as Codex, Claude, Prompt Buddy, and OpenEvidence
- Proven ability to lead technical teams in AI/ML and data engineering projects
- Knowledge of security, privacy, and governance in regulated data environments
- Strong communication skills to convey complex AI concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to support on-site work in Atlanta, GA or Washington, DC
- U.S. work authorization and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination, * Experience delivering AI/ML solutions in healthcare, federal health, or biomedical sectors
- Knowledge of open-source LLMs such as Llama, Gemma, or Phi
- Experience developing conversational AI, virtual assistants, or full-stack AI applications
- Familiarity with containerization, CI/CD, orchestration, and production MLOps pipelines
- Experience with Agile delivery and tools such as Jira
- Strong technical architecture documentation skills
- Experience in enterprise AI governance, ethics, and responsible AI frameworks
- Designing AI systems supporting retrieval, ranking, and decision support in high-stakes environments
- Master’s degree in computer science, data science, AI, or related fields
Benefits & conditions
Salary Range: $175,000.00 - $185,000.00 Final compensation is based on skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
