Job description

This role focuses on administering and supporting the OSIsoft PI data historian and Asset Framework in an operational environment, preferably within an electric generating facility. • Produce business cases to justify financial investment decisions, technology tools, and system upgrades related to the PI environment and associated systems.
  • Apply strategic and tactical thinking to design and implement solutions that address current and emerging fleet issues.
  • Make timely decisions using seasoned judgment and demonstrate personal responsibility in handling critical issues.
  • Promote teamwork and model shared values, contributing to a collaborative and supportive work culture.
  • Creatively solve issues, think outside the box, and identify innovative ways to meet operational and fleet analytics needs.
  • Build strong working relationships and act as a team player in cross-functional initiatives and projects., The role is based onsite at an energy center, working directly within an operational environment that relies on real-time and historical data from power generation or similar facilities. The System Administrator will collaborate closely with operations, control room teams, maintenance and diagnostic centers, renewable operations, commercial optimization groups, IT personnel, and external vendors.
