CA Gen Migration Architect or Lead as Contract Remote

Need exp. with -Migration from COBOL/mainframe applications to modern distributed or cloud-based architectures

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior/Lead Engineer or Architect with deep expertise in CA Gen (Broadcom Gen / COOL) and legacy application modernization. This individual will provide technical expertise around an existing CA Gen environment and help support the migration of legacy applications to modern technologies.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on knowledge of CA Gen internals, generated COBOL applications, and prior experience successfully migrating or modernizing CA Gen applications. Required Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on CA Gen experience, including experience with:
• CA Gen
• Broadcom Gen
• COOL
• Strong understanding of the CA Gen runtime framework
• Strong knowledge of CA Gen model internals
• Ability to understand and work with CA Gen-generated COBOL code
• Demonstrated experience with a successful CA Gen migration or modernization initiative
• 5+ years of COBOL software development experience
• Strong understanding of legacy application architecture and modernization concepts
• Senior-level engineering or architecture experience
