Configuration Analyst (Logistics Support 3)

• Provides support to the logistics function preparing logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked.
• Determines maintenance and repair materials required for deployment.
• Modifies maintenance records such as repair standards for more complex equipment or components.
• Develops requisitions for and manages records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals; tracks logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities; reviews configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment; documents equipment, component and parts conditions; and identifies logistic support documentation to be included such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support life-cycle of product.

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Candidate must possess four years in the operation, maintenance, or design of Naval Hull, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic systems.
• Able to read and interpret ship arrangement, installation, and system drawings.
• Able to learn how to hierarchically structure and assign the appropriate technical coding to Hull, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic shipboard systems within CDMD-OA.
• Must be PC literate - e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation graphics.
• Must have an adequate command of the English language, able to communicate technical concepts effectively and express (oral/written) ideas clearly and concisely.
• Candidate must be capable of sight validating shipboard (marine) systems/equipment and performing shipboard sight validations and able to perform logistic technical analysis of shipboard (marine) equipment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a confidential security clearance.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Bonus Points For…

• Warfare-qualified having served onboard LHA, LHD, or CVN platforms.
• Expertise in shipboard system operation, maintenance & repair and the Navy’s preventive maintenance system.
• OMMS-NG and CSMP experience.
• Four years’ experience in the operation & maintenance of shipboard electrical & internal communications systems.
• Experience with parts screening databases (GDAPL, HAYSTACK, FEDLOG)., Must be able to work in a shipboard environment. Must be able to lift, carry, transport heavy equipment and climb ladders.
