Job description

Position Summary… The Senior Manager, Data Stewardship, leads the development and execution of data governance and quality strategies to ensure data integrity and usability across business domains. This role involves translating complex business requirements into effective data solutions, managing metadata and master data processes, and driving compliance with regulatory standards. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders to optimize data assets, enhance operational performance, and support enterprise data initiatives. The successful candidate will provide leadership in data quality management, promote best practices, and guide teams to deliver measurable business value through strategic data stewardship. About the team: The Business Analysis and Insights team transforms complex data into actionable strategies that enhance operational and financial performance. Collaborating across functions, the team identifies opportunities, improves processes, and supports long-term growth through data-driven decision-making. By partnering with stakeholders, it develops scalable solutions and advances reporting capabilities. Focused on continuous improvement, the team drives initiatives aligned with organizational goals, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. Members deliver insights that influence strategic planning and operational excellence, fostering a results-oriented environment that supports sustainable business success.

What you’ll do…

  • Develop and implement enterprise data governance strategies, ensuring alignment with regulatory and ethical standards.
  • Lead data quality initiatives by defining metrics, monitoring performance, and driving continuous improvement across business domains.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data management solutions that support organizational objectives.
  • Oversee master data and metadata management, establishing standards and maintaining data hierarchies and golden records.
  • Guide teams in applying data stewardship best practices, providing mentorship and fostering accountability.
  • Identify and recommend data sources, ensuring data is fit for purpose and accessible to users.
  • Drive adoption of data governance policies and educate business leaders on compliance and data utilization.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in data governance, data quality management, and enterprise data strategy implementation.
  • Proven ability to develop and enforce data quality frameworks, metrics, and operational procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of metadata management, master data integration, and data modeling techniques.
  • Expertise in translating complex business requirements into data-driven solutions aligned with organizational goals.
  • Demonstrated leadership in guiding teams, mentoring associates, and driving cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in regulatory and ethical data policies, ensuring compliance with privacy and security standards.
  • Skilled in project management and business analysis within large corporate environments., Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, Data Architecture, or related field and 5 years’ experience in data stewardship, data management, database administration, data analytics, or related field. Option 2: 7 years’ experience in data stewardship, data management, database administration, data analytics, or related field. Option 3: Master’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, Data Architecture, or related field and 3 years’ experience in in data stewardship, data management, database administration, data analytics, or related field. 1 year’s supervisory experience.
