A study of the Linux operating system. The goal is to configure and manage processes, user interfaces, device files, print facilities, file systems, task automation, the boot-up/shutdown sequence, disk storage, network connectivity, system security, and users and groups., Development of the key foundational skills needed by an RHCSA-certified Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administrator. Focus is on the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to become a Linux systems expert or Linux system administrator. • This position is specifically to teach onsite in San Diego, CA.

NOTE: Adjuncts are not eligible for the State of Maryland subsidized rates. Adjuncts would be responsible for the total cost if enrolled.

• Guide students in active collaboration and the application of their learning in problem- and project-based learning demonstrations.
• Provide rich and regular constructive feedback, utilizing rubrics effectively for the assessment of student work, and acknowledging student accomplishments.
• Demonstrate relevant and current subject-matter expertise, and help students connect concepts across their academic program.
• Provide feedback to your program chair on possible curricular improvements.
