Job description

Amentum is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior-Level Software Engineer to support the SOA C3 application development mission. In this role, you will design, develop, modify, debug and evaluate programs across complex software modules that directly support warfighter readiness. You will collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and Agile team members to analyze existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devise logic procedures, prepare flowcharting, perform coding and test/debug programs and ensure high-quality software delivery. Leveraging your experience with C#, ASP.NET, Blazor, Kubernetes, and containerized environments, you will help evaluate system behavior and maintain traceability throughout the development lifecycle. Amentum is seeking a software engineer who brings strong analytical skills, solid development fundamentals, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic Agile environment. Prior familiarity with ISDS applications is highly valued, as is a commitment to continuously improving development processes and outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications.
  • Debug, optimize, and integrate components.
  • Develop database structures and web interfaces.
  • Collaborate with Agile teams.
  • Document software solutions.
  • Execute tests and apply containerization technologies.
  • Excellent communicator able to work with cross-functional technical teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Requirements

  • Ability to lead technical decision-making.
  • Proven ability to deliver solutions in Agile sprint cycles.
  • Self-directed and comfortable managing complex development tasks.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Active Secret US Government security clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to maintain a secret clearance.
  • Bachelors degree.
  • 6+ years software development., * ISDS experience.
  • CI/CD, Git, DevSecOps.
  • Ability to mentor developers.
  • Strong architectural thinking.
  • Experience writing unit/integration tests.
