Job description
SWBC is seeking a results-oriented Data Analytics Manager to lead and develop a team of Data Analysts and BI Developers. This role will be instrumental in defining and executing the data analytics strategy, ensuring the team delivers high-quality, impactful insights that drive business performance. The manager will serve as the primary liaison between the analytics team and business leaders, translating complex business problems into actionable data solutions.
Essential duties include the following:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data professionals, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Define and execute the data analytics roadmap, prioritizing projects and allocating resources to meet business objectives.
- Oversee the design, development, and delivery of all data-driven solutions, including dashboards, reports, and presentations.
- Act as a key liaison between the analytics team and other departments, including executive leadership.
- Champion data governance and security practices within the team.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and trends in data analytics to continuously improve the team’s capabilities and output.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team of data professionals.
- Experience in developing and implementing a data analytics strategy.
- Strong proficiency in advanced SQL, Python, and BI tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to present complex data to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with project management, setting team goals, and managing performance.
- A strong understanding of cloud services and data warehousing concepts.
