Job description
A Software Engineer will be part of a small team of technically strong individuals. This position performs design, coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process, providing innovative solutions. A successful candidate will have a record of delivering software applications, a strong understanding of the SDLC, and a desire to implement continuous delivery and integration. This role involves building sophisticated functionality for the Treasury business to enhance the management of the bank’s liquidity., * Design, code, debug, and test applications in an Agile environment.
- Develop and maintain distributed, scalable, and complex services, including RESTful services and robust microservices.
- Work with business users on complex requirements gathering and translate them into actionable items for developers, including rapid prototyping.
- Perform technical and functional analysis and clearly communicate design, architecture, and implementations.
- Maintain high standards and follow best practices by refactoring existing code to enhance readability, performance, and general structure.
- Build sophisticated functionality for the Treasury business to manage the bank’s liquidity effectively.
Requirements
- Strong expertise and working experience in Python.
- Knowledge of computer science data structures and algorithms.
- Knowledge of ORM libraries like Sqlalchemy.
- Experience in databases, including relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with web services development and REST interfaces in Python.
- Experience with analytic reporting tools like Tableau.
- Analytical skills to perform technical and functional analysis with strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in regulatory projects.
- Experience working in Containers.
- Experience in CI/CD, Jenkins, and Git.
- Experience working on high-volume applications.
- Experience working in Agile teams.
- Knowledge of Liquidity Reports like Fed5g, LCR, NSFR, or CRD IV.
